The owner and chef is a young woman who works with just one assistant. The ambience is very plain, but the staff is very friendly. The food is amazing. The classic dish lomo saltado tasted like it was made with quality steak. It was so tender and flavorful. This is traditional Peruvian cooking

Delicious! I had the Saltado de Pollo with Chicha morada drink. Nice atmosphere and the service was great.

Their Peruvian ceviche is fantastic! Bathed in leche de tigre, with sliced onion, yam, choclo and corn nuts. Just the right level of spicy. I ordered it for takeout and the staff were courteous and efficient and had it ready in 15 minutes. Delicious!

Came to eat here with my peruvian mom on wednesday and she was very questionable due to many failed restaurants. I ordered tequeños de queso and a huancaina pasta with a steak. Hands down one of the best places I've ate luxury peruvian food at. The flavor of the steak was spot on and cooked correctly. The huancaina sauce was not like the thick one for the papa a la huancaina , it was designed perfectly for the pasta and not spicy but had the flavor of ají amarillo. The tequenos had mozzarella cheese and were NOT dripping in oil and did NOT pop open. I was very impressed. I am so glad I went there to eat. Pricey but we were in emeryville and the food was quality. The two men who were there alone served 6 people all at once while they also cooked side by side. Very clean and respectful. I will definitely be eating there again due to the good food and amazing service. Thank you!

Las Brasas Peruvian Restaurant in Emeryville is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm, friendly service that set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The dishes were nothing short of delicious. I started with the ceviche, which was incredibly fresh and bursting with vibrant flavors. The lomo saltado was cooked to perfection, with tender pieces of beef and perfectly seasoned vegetables. Every bite was a testament to the skill and passion of the chefs. The beverages were refreshing. and Maracuys (passion fruit drink) was light and refreshing. While they don't yet have their beer-& liquor license, I expect when they do receive it, it's gonna be a destination. Overall, Las Brasas exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're looking for authentic Peruvian cuisine and hospitality, come here now. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu!

Totally recommended! The food was 10/10, seafood, sauces, entrees The tamales were at their point, just like the papa a la huancaina. In the background we ordered Fettuccini in green sauce with chicken milanesa, the pasta was on point, neither too dry nor too juicy. And the other thing was Parihuela de mariscos. All the food was delicious, thank you very much to the chef

We are so happy this great place has joined the neighborhood. We went the other night and got a sampling of a lot of things and they were all great. The spice was spot on and the flavors were rich. I really look forward to going again.
